Meet the MJW team: Amanda
Amanda has recently joined our growing Marketing department and focuses predominantly on PR. If you’ve seen an article about Mr Jones Watches recently, Amanda probably got us there!
Not only has Amanda settled in well to her new role at the company, she is also a dance instructor in her spare time.
Here’s what Amanda had to say…
Tell us about yourself
I’m Amanda and I have been working in PR and Marketing for the past eight years. I’ve worked at agencies across the Midlands working on regional, national and international accounts. I’m fascinated by how new technology has completely changed the industry and how it now goes hand-in-hand with digital, SEO and social media.
What do you do in your free time?
Outside of Mr Jones Watches, I run a weekly commercial dance class at School of SOS in Birmingham. School of SOS is all about empowering women, using dance as a tool to empowerment and confidence. It’s the kind of dance moves you would see the back-up dancers do at a Beyoncé concert!
Other than that, I am a massive book worm. It’s almost impossible for me to choose my favourite book but ‘The Troubles with Us’ by Alix O'Neill is up there with the best books I’ve read so far this year. It’s a memoir of a girl growing up in Belfast in the 80’s talking about everything from light-hearted boy troubles to the serious conflict in Northern Ireland at the time. It was great to read something so relatable and yet so educational at the same time.
I am also somewhat of a cocktail making connoisseur - I make a mean daiquiri!
What is your favourite Mr Jones Watch?
Oooh that’s tough. They’re all so lovely! I would have to go with Slow Down. I like how it reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Plus, it's gorgeous to look at.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Amanda! You can meet the rest of the Mr Jones Watches team here.
